FAQ…

Do you have a cap on how many weddings you take each year?

The answers is both yes and no. I like to stay around 30 weddings per year- sometimes more and sometimes less. It really just depends on what I have planned through out the year and how often I am traveling. I want to make sure that I am giving each of my clients the time and attention they deserve when they choose me.

How far out do you book?

For weddings, it’s sometimes 2 years in advance. Especially for popular dates! But I would say the average is about 12-18 months out. For portrait sessions, I recommend getting in touch with me once you know your desired month or season you want to shoot in, Especially during peak wedding seasons like spring and fall. I have very limited availability during these months, and it’s never too early to plan ahead.

Do you require couples to work with a wedding planner?

Yes, I do- and there is a good reason for it. When you are planning your wedding day, you want to be able to enjoy the process and if you are the one planning your wedding, you become the main point of contact for all vendors and it can become very stressful very quickly. Your photographers work hand in hand with wedding planners to create a seamless timeline for your wedding day and when a planner is not involved, your photographer tends to become a mini planner and that becomes to many hats too wear both for you and your photographer. This is the reason why I require a planner (or day of coordinator). Let me focus on giving you the best photo experience, while your planner can focus on the best overall experience.

What are your retainer fees?

For weddings, my retainer fee is 50% of your package total to reserve your date. The retainer fee is applied to your total balance that you owe. For Portrait sessions, my retainer fee is 50% of the total session fee.

When is the Final payment due for my wedding?

The remaining balance for your wedding day is due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

When is the remaining balance due for my portrait session?

The remaining balance on your portrait session is due 1 week prior to your shoot date.

Do you have Liability Insurance?

Yup! Sure do! I can also provide the information to your venue if they need it as well.

What happens if your equipment fails during my session/wedding? Do you have back-up equipment?

In the unlikely event that one of my cameras would fail me, I do have back-up camera’s and lenses! Rest assured that I’ve got you covered. I keep a spare back up bag with me in my car for those “just in-case” scenarios.

How do you prefer payment?

Either online, check, cash or Venmo.

What happens if I cancel?

I understand that life happens, in the event that you do have to cancel your wedding photography services or portrait services with me, the retainer fee is non-refundable and does stay with me to cover time spent planning your day with you and expenses incurred. I will also send you a cancellation contract that releases me from arriving to the original contracted date with no additional penalties from that point on.

Will you travel?

Absolutely, a million times yes! There may be a travel fee associated depending on how far I have to go. But Heck to the Yes!

What is your typical turn around time on images?

Firstly, I will always create a preview for you on my instagram and Facebook page with in 72 hours of your wedding/session. I believe you should have something to show off right away :) For portraits sessions, my turn around time is about 2 weeks and for weddings my turn around time is about 4-6 weeks! During peak wedding season, turn around times for weddings could be closer to 6-8 weeks.
