Meet the Woman behind the Camera

Experience.

I can always remember wanting to be a photographer. It started when I was 12 and then into College when I received my associates in photography in 2009 and then in 2013 I bought my first professional grade camera. I started shooting weddings in 2016 and fell in love with being around people on the happiest days of their lives. I have been shooting weddings full time since 2018 and am based in Charleston but also travel for elopements and destinations. The places I have gone to are Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, New York and Illinois. And.. I would love to go to the following places for you: Arizona, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, Utah and More.

Life.

If you know me in real life, you know that I am a glass half full kind of girl. One thing that I have always been complimented on is my positive demeanor. I’m engaged to an amazing man and my dog is my life. I love coffee, traveling, all things dogs and the ocean is my home. I moved to Charleston after retiring from the NBA as a professional cheerleader for the Detroit Pistons. I told myself that I wanted to do something that made me just as happy as cheerleading, and I did.

Style.

Photos in my opinion should never be forced. I want the real life moments. The ones you want frozen in time. I like to describe myself as a photographer who can capture movement and raw emotion in an image. Someone who focuses on the use of natural light and who utilizes breathtaking sceneries and has attention to detail. Something you can expect is to have fun, laugh a lot and have photos that tell the story of you. Believe me when I tell you, being a photographer is not about the paycheck. It’s so much more than that. I want a life well lived in the sense that I’m making myself and the people around me happy. Be sure to go to “The Experience” tab to find out a little more about me and my process.
